Entrepreneurial research in the 7thUTU Awards 2021 is defined as a scientific paper written based on research. The proposed paper must be an original work of the author(s) and be based on the research conducted by the author(s). The research might include (but not limited to) any methods of inquiry, such as field research, experimental research, laboratory study, survey, applied research, case study, etc. The topics of the research should be within the scope of entrepreneurship topics, such as (but not limited to) entrepreneurial decision making, role of emotions in business, invention and intellectual property, marketing strategies, finances, social enterprises, managements, employments, digital technologies and new media for business, and other relevant topics.
The proposed paper should be written no more than 10 pages (excludes cover page, approval page, and appendix). The proposed paper is written in Calibri, font size 11, and line space 1.5 (except Summary 1 space), paper size A4 with margins 4-3-3-3.
Evaluation criteria include:
- Relevance of the title and the research topic.
- Quality reasoning of situating the study, research questions, and objectives.
- Adequacy of theories that support the research.
- Appropriateness of research methodology that warrants quality chain of reasoning.
- Opportunities to develop entrepreneurships based on the results of the study.
- The output of the study is publishable in scientific journals or is likely to earn intellectual property rights.
Innovative Product on Agro and Marine Industry competition is designated for submission on a research-based innovation on how a product from agro-and marine industry can be developed or an innovation on the method, tools and process of its development. It may include the development of products, such as (but not limited to) food crops, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry, plantation, forestry and marine which are unique and creative, so that they have added values for the market.

- Creativity and originality of ideas
- Uniqueness and competitive value of the product
- Production risk
- Potential economic, social, and environment benefits
- Accuracy and actualization of information
Business Plan competition aims to nurture undergraduate student motivation and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. In order for a business to be success and with low risk, it is necessary to have good business planning. Submission of Business Plan at the 7thUTU Awards must be within the scope of business ideas for new (innovative) products / services in the agricultural and marine industries. The proposal must be a new business (start-up), the participant’s original and creative work, any indications of plagiarism will cause the proposal disqualified. The business plan must be feasible to implement the product, market, operations, finance, and human resources.
This category welcomes proposals that highlight organized view of a business idea or business expansion. A business plan should reflect the vision of a market opportunity and serve as a blueprint for the future development of the business and includes various elements.

- Feasibility of implementing the product, market, operation, finance, and human resource.
Online Store Design category is a competition that evaluate undergraduate students’ abilities in designing and implementing ideas, creativity and solutions in building websites for online shopping. The main goal is to respond to the presence and development of technology, information and communication.
This category welcomes proposals on creative communication and design of online business. The proposals should highlight creative website design and redefine the way people may use it to sell online. Additionally, the design should allow users to set up an online store and manage its marketing, sales, and operations.
Proposals should be typed on A4 paper and is written in Calibri 11, and 1.5 spaces except for a one-spaced summary, and a maximum of 1000 words(excluding cover pages, approval page, and appendixes). The method or technique of developing the website is free. The submitted work / e-store website belongs to the participant and is allowed to be published by the participants. The work has never been contested in another competition. The work can include a final project for academic completion requirement at the university/college that are attended by the participants. The content must be based on products / services in agro and marine industries. The website is dynamic and must be interactive. The website contents must not contain racial and pornographic elements considered harmful for any entities. The website must work properly for desktop and mobile versions. Any indication of Plagiarism will cause the work disqualified.
